The Gaganyaan program envisages undertaking a demonstration of human spaceflight into low earth orbit. The mission involves launching a crew consisting of three members in low earth orbit for approximately three days and bringing them back safely by landing in Indian Sea waters. As part of the mission, two unmanned and one manned missions are approved by the government of India. The total cost of the Gaganyaan Mission is approximately 9023.00 crores. Gaganyaan spacecraft consists of crew modules to carry humans and the other one is a service module propelled by two liquid propelled engines. GSLV mark III also konown as Launch Vehicle Mark (LVM) III rocket launcher is used to launch Gaganyaan for its necessary payload capabilities.
